Musk Touts March 14 Model Y Event as Demand Questions Linger

In the midst of falling share prices, yet another tiff with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the announcement of physical store closures, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted Sunday that the company will unveil its new Model Y, an SUV to meet shifting US customer demand, in around two weeks time.

Elon Musk said Sunday that Tesla will unveil its Model Y crossover in less than two weeks, as questions about store closures, employee layoffs and demand in the wake of waning US federal tax credits threaten the company's growth narrative.
