GM ventures USD 2.2bn to challenge Tesla with a new pickup

The US-based car maker invests USD 2.2 in a new EV factory, whose first roll-out will be a pickup truck.

In 2020, production of General Motors' new electric pickup truck will begin. However, this will require an investment of USD 2.2 billion to get the factory built at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly plant, where GM's new EV business will begin.
