Rystad sets value on ExxonMobil's Norwegian oil assets

The US oil major's Norwegian assets, not including infrastructure, is worth USD 3.1 billion, estimates Rystad Energy. A sale could become the largest private oil transaction in Norway to date.

ExxonMobil's Norwegian oil licenses are worth USD 3.1 billion, which corresponds to the value of the oil and gas in the fields, excluding infrastructure, assesses analyst firm Rystad Energy, which has crunched the numbers in the wake of the US oil company's announcement that it is considering a sale of its assets on the Norwegian shelf where it has operated for several decades, reports media E24.
