Three oil giants want to save climate with hole in North Sea

Equinor, Total and Shell want to jointly investigate whether it's possible to capture CO2 from the atmosphere and store it in a hole in the underground.

If the oil industry can come up with viable solutions for how to capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and hide it away, it will have a trump card on its hand at a time when many criticize its players for being climate villains.
