Oil sector praises Danish CCS strategy

Tuesday's policy agreement is "a real step in the right direction," says Ineos' CCO Mads Weng Gade. TotalEnergies and sector lobby Danish Offshore are also pleased with the strategy.

The Danish oil and gas industry has been acclaiming the purported merits of carbon capture and sequestration for years now -- without much ado, however -- until Tuesday afternoon this week, that is.

Here, Danish Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Dan Jørgensen presented a widely supported parliamentary agreement on a national strategy for CCS.
