Wintershall Dea inks MoU on hydrogen facility

The German oil company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NWO for the construction of a new hydrogen production plant.

Wintershall Dea has teamed up with Nord-West Oelleitung and signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning a hydrogen facility for the BlueHyNow project, the company notes in a press release.

The oil company reports that the hydrogen facility will be located at NWO’s site where existing infrastructure will be upgraded to accommodate hydrogen use. In this way, NWO’s pipelines can be used to transmit hydrogen to industrial costumers.
