Statoil under pressure from IT outsourcing case

Statoil has on several occasions experienced crashes at plants after the operations of IT systems were outsourced to India. The evacuation of a production plant is among the consequences raised by the incidents, writes Norwegian TV station NRK which cast a light over the case.

Since Statoil outsourced the operations and maintenance of its IT systems to India in 2012, the company has experienced a number of cases which could potentially pose danger and which now put the company under pressure, according to Norwegian media after the TV station NRK cast a light over the case.
