
Back in 2011, Danish company Semco Maritime landed a promising order to build a 60 MW diesel-powered plant in Tanzania.
The order for the Nyakato plant in Northern Tanzania, located near Lake Victoria, was valued at DKK 450 million (EUR 60.5 million). The majority went to Semco, while the remainder went to Rolls Royce Energy based in Norway, which was to deliver the ten diesel engines to the project.
