Total launches new production in West of Shetland

After several years of preparation work, Total is now launching gas production in two new fields in West of Shetland. The buyer of Dong's oil and gas division will benefit from this development.

A milestone has been reached in one of the most difficult, but also most promising, new gas fields in northern Europe in recent years.

French oil giant Total, which was announced last week as the buyer of Maersk Oil, has launched production from the fields Edradour and Glenlivet in the area West of Shetland.
