Denmark's government criticized for offshore wind hesitancy

Denmark has announced a new offshore wind farm of 800 MW to be constructed within the next decade. But this announcement was overshadowed by the fact that no decisions will be made for further projects during the next four years.

Denmark plans to a construct a new 800 MW offshore wind farm, announced the country's government ahead of the presentation of the Danish energy package for the next decade, which will expectedly be presented this Thursday. The farm will be awarded in a tender in 2021, operationalized between 2024 and 2027, and the turbines will be placed far from the coast.
