EU Commission appoints new Director-General of Energy

The former head of Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager's private office, Ditte Juul Jørgensen, has been appointed Director-General of DG Energy.

While the dust continues to settle following last week's election across Europe for the European Parliament, the future career of current Competition Commissioner, Denmark's Margrethe Vestager, remains uncertain. But the commissioner's current head of private office, Ditte Juul Jørgensen, just found out what she will be doing from Aug. 1: She has been appointed Director-General of the European Commission's energy division, DG Energy, writes the Commission in a press release.
