
Sweden, citing "political security reasons", has politely declined a request from Russian gas giant Gazprom that Swedish ports become the base for the major Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2.
But the prospects of big earnings and many new jobs have prompted the mayor of Danish island Bornholm, Winni Grosbøll, to float the idea that the island's Port of Rønne could take part in the project.
