EU Commission to extend import duties on Chinese solar panels

The EU Commission is aiming for import duties on solar panels from China for the next 18 months. However, the Commission also proposes a gradual phasing out, says Commission Vice President Frans Timmermanns.

This Wednesday, the EU Commission presented a proposal to extend the import duties on solar panels by 18 months with a gradual phase-out, said the Commission Vice President, Frans Timmermanns, at a press conference Wednesday.
