Sweden wants clearer rules when it comes to wind turbines. For that reason, the final decision to install a wind farm will no longer lie in the hands of the country's 290 municipalities. Instead, it will be assumed by the Swedish government, as was the case before 2009.

This is part of a proposal from the Swedish Energy Agency and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Swedish).
