Trump still threatening to withdraw US from nuclear accord

President Donald Trump did not announce a formal withdrawal of the US from the nuclear agreement with Iran this Friday, but maintains his opposition. The accord was set up to stop Iran from developing nuclear weaponry.

All eyes were on the US as President Donald Trump held a highly anticipated speech Friday about the nuclear accord with Iran.

Rumors had flourished that the president – as promised during his campaign – would completely withdraw the US from 2015. However, according to The New York Times, CNN, and Associated Press (AP), Trump has not planned to do so.
