Vestas share price plunge: US tax reform causes huge uncertainty

A push for tax reform in the US could end up impacting subsidies for wind turbine owners, and this prospect led to a price decline at Vestas Friday morning.

A draft proposal to reduce the US PTC subsidy scheme has created uncertainty about the future for Vestas and other wind players in the US.

According to Barclays, the tax reform proposed in the House of Representatives could have a "damaging effect on market volumes and prices," if it is approved.
