Siemens wins consolation prize on UK offshore wind farm

While MHI Vestas has been named preferred supplier of turbines for the 950-MW offshore wind farm Moray East, Siemens was selected as preferred bidder to deliver electrical infrastructure.

Developers behind the coming British offshore wind farm Moray East have named another preferred supplier. Siemens have been chosen to deliver and install the 950-MW farm's three offshore substation platform topsides and the onshore works, announces the developer. Siemens will also supply an approximately 30-kilometer export cable.
