Danish manufacturer aims to conquer new type of cable market

Denmark's NKT will utilize its close partnership with a Dutch conglomerate to fill capacity, including by entering the market for the small cables between offshore wind turbines that the manufacturer previously did not have interest in.

Cable manufacturer NKT has landed many large orders on the offshore wind market in recent months. In September, the company was tapped as preferred supplier for the coming British wind farm Triton Knoll, while October brought a corresponding nomination for the Moray East project, as well as a set order for export cables for the Dutch Borssele Beta project.
