Ørsted gets important nod for 2.4 GW of offshore wind

The Danish utility is moving one step closer to a major Southeast Asian expansion with preliminary environmental approval for four Taiwanese projects.

Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has given the preliminary green light to seven offshore wind projects. Four of the projects, totalling 2.4 GW and between 218-301 turbines will be delivered by Ørsted, while the remaining three of 2 GW and up to 228 turbines will come from the Swancor Industry.
