Vestas nabs country head from GE

The wind turbine manufacturer continues the trend from recent years of segmenting growth markets into smaller regions. A new country head has now been appointed to a threatened growth market.

Peter Cowling has been appointed Country Head/VP, Sales Australia and New Zealand for Vestas. The newly appointed country head was recruited from US competitor GE Energy, where he was in charge of wind turbine sales in the Pacific region for seven years. Prior to working for GE, he was employed by India's Suzlon in Australia.
