Norwegian offshore wind turbine producer files for bankruptcy

Developer of the two-blade offshore wind turbine has filed for bankruptcy after failing to qualify for a loan.

2018 was supposed to mark the breakthrough for Seawind Systems. The Norwegian company, which is part of Dutch Seawind Ocean Technology, had big plans to install a pilot model of its two-blade 6.2 MW offshore wind turbine at the maritime test center Metcentre by Karmøy in Norway.
