Price for Vestas turbines declines 7.5 percent

The wind turbine manufacturer landed a profit before tax of EUR 1.192 billion from revenue of almost EUR 10 billion in 2017. The order intake was the highest ever.

Correction 10:00: The price per MW was originally calculated on the numbers from the Vestas annual report. Vestas informs in its investor presentation that the actual price was lower – EUR 0.74 million/MW and not EUR 0.75 million /MW. The difference is likely due to the value of the order intake being presented in rough figures in the annual report, which slightly distorts the scenario. EnergyWatch apologizes.
