Wind turbines helped major Danish pension fund make solid returns

Major Danish life insurance company Industriens Pension achieved an 8.8 percent return on its investments in wind turbines, and the company does not plan to stop there.

Danish pension fund and life insurance company Industriens Pension booked total returns of DKK 12.2 billion (EUR 1.6 billion) on investments in 2017.

This corresponds to a yield of 8.2 percent. One contributing factor was the infrastructure item, which includes wind turbines. In this area, the pension fund booked returns of 8.8 percent. Overall, the Danish firm grew its bottom line from DKK 204 million to DKK 388 million.
