Danish wind energy revenue breaks all records

Revenue in the Danish wind turbine sector hit a record high in 2017, and the number of jobs also increased despite the price squeeze.

The Danish wind turbine industry saw record revenue in 2017, increasing by 13.7 percent to DKK 112.5 billion (EUR 15.1 billion) compared to 2016, writes the Danish wind turbine trade organization Vindmølleindustrien in connection with the sector's statistics for 2017.

Revenue was nearly DKK 10 billion higher than in 2008, the former record year. The wind turbine companies' increased income has also had the effect of creating many jobs.
