Swedish court approves 1,800 MW project

The third stage of Europe's largest onshore wind project has been approved. The installation of 442 wind turbines will begin as soon as possible, says developer.

The Swedish Markbygden project has now been approved. Following more than two years of legal proceedings, the highest relevant Swedish authority rejected a claim filed by the Swedish organization Svenskt Landskapsskyldd concerning the projects third phase. After a few modifications to the original plan, the project has now reached approval.
