Price on Taiwanese offshore wind more than halved

A Canadian utility walked away the winner in Taiwan's first price competition, which slashed almost two-thirds of the price relative to just two months ago. A handful of developers have gone home empty handed.

Taiwan's offshore wind industry seems to have emerged out of nowhere. With a little over 5.5 GW in awarded capacity and a clear target for 2025, the Taiwanese government seems to have rolled out a complete market and supply chain in record time.
