Northern Germany ready to revive onshore wind turbines

After more than a year of a windless onshore wind turbine market in Northern Germany, there are now prospects of considerably increased activities.

After a year of stagnation, the Schleswig-Holstein federal state government is soon ready to award licenses for new onshore wind turbines. The new local development plan has reached a stage to approve 191 new wind turbines. The first drafts of the local development plans are expected to be finalized at the end of August, according to Danish local news media, Jyske Vestkysten.
