Ørsted may have gotten the Hornsea cable cheap

NKT is to deliver a 190 kilometer 220 kV high voltage cable in a system to the coming Hornsea 2 offshore wind farm off the coast of England, corresponding to half of the total project.

It was no big surprise that the cable manufacturer NKT came away with the Ørsted order to supply cables to the developer's record large offshore wind project Hornsea 2.
