Global insurance player has centralized wind knowledge in Denmark

Despite having subsidiary companies across North America, Europe, the Middle East and India, Codan is the only player within the RSA Insurance Group which may insure offshore wind turbines. This centralizes knowledge within the area but also creates uncertainty on the Danish insurance company's top line.

When Danish insurance company Codan was unable to present the domestic growth it had promised 2017, the regional president Scott Ørmen suggested that it was due to the insurance company's wind business, whereby delays on a few projects meant many millions in the annual report.
