Shell partners with Danish turbine engineer for floating offshore wind

Innogy and Shell are entering the floating offshore wind market, investing in the designs of Danish wind turbine engineer Henrik Stiesdal. The parties are investing millions in the venture.

Danish turbine designer Henrik Stiesdal is teaming up with oil giant Shell and utility Innogy to test the wind turbine engineer's design for a foundation for floating wind turbines, Tetraspar. The venture has been announced by Stiesdal Offshore Technologies in a press release.
