Finland launches first RE tender

A technology-neutral showdown will be taking place between sources such as wind and wave power and over an added premium for up 1.4 TWh.

The Finnish energy authority has initiated the country's first technology-neutral tender. Developers have until the new year to place bids for projects within renewable energy sources such as wind, biomass, biogas and wave power in the tender round featuring an added premium for up to 1.4 TWh of electricity generation, reports Finlands energy authority Energimyndigheten.
