Potential MHI Vestas project grows by 2.2 GW

With partners from the oil industry, the world's largest offshore wind project has begun to take shape. MHI Vestas is nominated to supply the now 3.4 GW project with turbines, for which the developer reportedly wants to at some point achieve a per unit effect of 12 MW.

Vietnam's offshore wind market may have a long way to go, but together with Japan and South Korea, the country is often dubbed the second largest market in the region after Taiwan. The country's huge Ke Ga project in which Vestas is an alliance partner has also grown from 1.2 to 3.4 GW, as was announced at an event in Hanoi Friday.
