Vestas will soon lose its status as the sole manufacturer of wind turbines in Argentina. Nordex has entered a partnership with state-owned airplane manufacturer Fábrica Argentina de Aviones, which will install a production line at its factory in Cordoba in the new year and will make rotors and nacelles for the German company's AW3000 units. Furthermore, two local factories are being planned for the production of cement turbine towers for the Acciona-platform wind turbines, says Nordex in a press release.
