Two years back, Siemens Gamesa was reportedly close to securing a series of orders from Brazil. These included two wind farms with a total capacity of 218 MW, which Portuguese EDP Renovaveis secured in the Brazilian auction held shortly prior to Christmas 2017. However, those announcements have not yet manifested into signatures, and Vestas is now said to be close to stealing the prize from its rival, reports Reuters.
