Japanese player plans 1 GW offshore wind farm

Tepco, which recently bought stakes in two Ørsted wind farms, is planning to construct a project with roughly 200 turbines in collaboration "with a highly experienced European offshore wind power maker," according to a Japanese media.

Japanese utility Tepco is considering constructing the country's by-far biggest offshore wind farm. The project will have a capacity of at least 1 GW, and construction might commence as early as this year, writes Japanese media Yomiuru Shimbun.
