Saudi wind project is the cheapest in EMEA region

Saudi Arabia's first large-scale wind farm is now underway. A consortium consisting of French EDF Renewables and UAE-based Masdar have signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Saudi Electricity Company after having won rights to install the 400 MW Dumat al-Jandal project in a public tender and with an investment sum of USD 500 million, the winning companies inform in a press release.
