Former Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt will not be the only new member of Vestas' board of directors, if the company's executive management have their way. In the notice on the convening of this year's annual general meeting, the company writes that the chief executive of Danish IT firm KMD, Eva Berneke, and US national Bruce Grant are nominated to the manufacturer's coming board of directors. The nominees will replace Eija Pitkänen, Henry Stenson and Torben Ballegaard, none of whom are seeking reelection.
