UK offshore wind deal aims for 30 GW by 2030

One-third of the UK's power supply should come from offshore wind, according to a new sector deal.

A sector deal for offshore wind in the UK aims to ensure that one-third of British electricity comes from offshore wind. Meanwhile, new requirements for local involvement have also been set, informs BEIS, Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, in a press release.
