Statkraft tests new technology with offshore solar panels
Norwegian technology company Ocean Sun has landed its first major commercial contract for floating offshore solar panels, to be installed by Statkraft.
Norway's Statkraft has nominated compatriot technology company Ocean Sun to deliver equipment to a floating 2MW solar farm in Albania. The solar farm will consist of four floating sections, and the contract will cost Statkraft a total of EUR 2.3 million, reveals the state utility in a press release.
