Siemens Gamesa secures 419 MW order
A new large contract pushes the wind turbine manufacturer's North American order book well past 1 GW within a matter of weeks.
US-based energy infrastructure investor Clearway Energy Group has closed financing for the 419 MW wind farm Mesquite Star. The project, whose backers include Berkshire Hathaway Energy as a tax equity investor, will become one of the largest wind farms in the US' main wind power state, Texas, upon entering operation next year. Installation began last week, reports Clearway Energy in a statement.
