Siemens Gamesa snags service from rival

The manufacturer has secured a four-year service contract for 118 of GE's wind turbines in the US.

Massive activity is emanating from the US market during these weeks in the form of signing contracts for new wind farms, but plenty is also happening in terms of service agreements for existing wind farms. Siemens Gamesa has just entered a four-year service deal with Pattern Energy for the maintenance of 118 wind turbines at facility Panhandle Wind 1, the manufacturer informs.
