Vestas contracts inspections for 1,250 wind turbines

The Danish manufacturer has hired companies Sulzer Schmid and WKA to conduct a major run-through of its wind turbines in Sweden and Finland. The two firms' inspection methods include drone monitoring to survey for blade defects.

Vestas has contracted two firms, Swiss Sulzer Schmid and German WKA Blade Service GmbH, for drone inspections on no less than 1,250 wind turbines, informs Sulzer Schmid in a press release.
