Fortum enters Norway in wind joint venture

In the effort to build up a multi-gigawatt portfolio of wind and solar power, the Finnish utility is formalizing cooperation with a project developer.

In 2017, Fortum entered the Norwegian wind market with the acquisition of three Norwegian projects from developer Nordkraft. Now, the Finnish utility takes another step in this direction. In collaboration with the Norwegian partner, a joint venture has thus been established, Fortum Nordkraft Vind, which is to develop new projects in the country, says Fortum in a press statement.
