Siemens Gamesa increases head start in Taiwan

With its title of preferred supplier for a 376 MW offshore wind farm, the producer stands to handle nearly the entire first wave of the island state's expansion.

Siemens Gamesa stands to receive another order from Taiwan. Although it is still signed with a pencil rather than pen, the wind turbine manufacturer has been chosen as preferred supplier to the 376 MW Formosa 2 project. Besides delivery and installation – pending the final investment decision by the awarding consortium, Macquarie Capital and Swancor Renewable Energy – Siemens Gamesa signed a 20-year service agreement on the wind turbines, announces the company.
