Woodmac expects record year for solar

While demand for solar energy has peaked in China, it will increase across the rest of the world, with 2019 solar installations growing 17.5 percent compared to 2018.

After a slight downturn in 2018, analyst firm Wood Mackenzie projects that solar energy will surge once again this year. According to Woodmac, demand for new solar power will rise to 114.5 GW in 2019, a 17.5 percent increase compared to 2018.
