Vestas and Siemens Gamesa said to eye Senvion

Imperiled wind turbine manufacturer Senvion is in negotiations with creditors to extend an emergency credit facility to avoid a forced sale, Reuters reports. The service business entices various potential investors.

No solution for Senvion's future was presented when the original bidding deadline expired at the end of June. Nor does the deadline's one-month extension seem set to bring about a transaction. The insolvent wind turbine maker is as such in negotiations with the creditors that provided an EUR 100 million emergency credit facility in April regarding an extension on the loan, writes Reuters citing anonymous sources close to the process.
