Developer gets green light for hybrid RE facility planning hydrogen add-on

The state of South Australia has approved development plans for a project set to deploy a mix of wind, solar, batteries and eventually a 50 MW hydrogen storage system.

Australia is preparing to host yet another hybrid renewable energy and storage facility. Authorities in South Australia have approved French project developer Neoen's plans for its Crystal Brook Energy Park project – an installation worth AUD 500 million (EUR 299 million) and set to initially feature up to 125 MW of wind power, 150 MW of solar and one 130 MW battery, report several media, including Renew Economy.
