Statkraft acquires UK wind developer

As a follow-up to its target of installing 600 MW of solar and wind energy in the UK, the Norwegian utility acquires a previous customer, doubling its employee count.

The UK continues to be an important growth market for Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft. Although the company has discontinued efforts to establish new domestic wind farms, no changes have been made to its plans to install 6 GW of onshore wind and 2 GW of solar energy ahead of 2025, nor its plans to establish 600 MW of these on British soil.
