MHI Vestas eyes negative effects from Vineyard delay

Vineyard Wind is trying to renegotiate contracts with its suppliers after a critical delay of its offshore wind project, which MHI Vestas says will be significant, financially or otherwise.

It's still unknown when Vineyard Wind will attain a permit to establish its project. After the US Federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) mandated an additional environmental impact assessment (EIA) in August to determine the cumulative effects on fishery, the first large-scale offshore wind farm in the US has been in limbo.
