Statkraft sweetens wind farm deal

Statkraft will present its plans to expand Berry Burn Wind Farm with an extra 9 turbines in two weeks time, and the utility has an extra 'carrot' for the local population of Forres in the form of GBP 157,500.

The expansion of the Berry Burn Wind Farm in Scotland should have included 10 turbines, but Statkraft, which is the majority owner and operator of the farm, has reduced this to nine units. The expansion will result in an increased capacity of 31.5 MW.
